Chatham County schools will be closed on February 18

Pittsboro, NC – Due to anticipated inclement weather, Chatham County Schools will be closed for students and staff with no in-person instruction or remote learning on Thursday, February 18. All meal service is also cancelled. 

The National Weather Service is forecasting accumulating frozen precipitation overnight in central North Carolina, including Chatham County. Hazardous driving conditions and power outages are anticipated throughout the day on Thursday. 

Friday, February 19, is an optional workday, and students do not attend school.
