Splash pad woes: A disappointing update from the town

Pittsboro, NC – It is with deep regret that we announce the continued closure of the splash pad facility located at Knight Farm Community Park. The Town understands how much this space means to our community, especially during the hot summer months, and we share your disappointment.

At present, our staff and contractors are diligently working to pinpoint the source of the maintenance issue that has kept the splash pad out of service. While we are fully committed to resolving the problem and getting the facility back up and running as soon as possible, we, unfortunately, do not yet have a timeline for the reopening.

We want to reassure our community that the safety and well-being of our residents are our top priorities. We will not reopen the splash pad until we are confident that the issue has been thoroughly identified and resolved.

We also understand that our residents are eagerly awaiting updates on the situation. To ensure everyone stays informed, we encourage everyone to sign up for Town News Alerts and follow our Parks and Recreation Facebook page, where we will post regular updates as we receive them.

We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Please rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to rectify the situation and bring back the summer fun at the splash pad as quickly and as safely as possible. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at the splash pad soon.
