Local VFW to mark 9/11 remembrance in Pittsboro

By Andy Cochran

Pittsboro, NC – On behalf of the men and women of Joe Wagner Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 7313, I urge the community to support the 20th Anniversary of September, 11 a day that will live with us forever, known to us now as Patriots Day.

The post will be gathering at 8:30 am, and at 8:46:40 will have a moment of silence.

Following the moment of silence, the Post Commander will address the community to remind them what the day means to veterans and help a veteran in need. In closing, there will be comments regarding the post’s mission to unite and serve the veterans and service members not just in Pittsboro, but the greater Chatham County, North Carolina, and our country. Especially those that served in Afghanistan.

After closing the event, the Commander invites the community to join them for a Commander’s Coffee.
