Chatham County Sheriff’s Office seeks help in locating missing man

Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating David Bernard Gauthier, 63, of Pittsboro.

Mr. Gauthier was first brought to the attention of the Sheriff’s Office when a concerned friend filed a missing person report on August 23, 2023. The last confirmed contact with Mr. Gauthier dates to April 13, 2023, when he communicated with the reporting person and a friend residing in Georgia. He has had no contact with his family this year.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts or well-being of Mr. Gauthier is asked to contact the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office at 919-542-2811.
