Pittsboro, NC – Main Street Pittsboro is pleased to announce the much anticipated opening of our Welcome Center at 37 Hillsboro Street in downtown Pittsboro, Wednesday, March 24. The Welcome Center will then be open 11am-5pm, Wednesday- Friday. Saturday 10am-5pm is planned.
Main Street Pittsboro started facade improvements and renovations to the former Capital Bank Building with the goals of further enhancing downtown Pittsboro’s built environment and promoting our beautiful, historic, and vibrant downtown.
Renovations continued despite what became a global pandemic. When renovations were complete, the pandemic continued to pose health concerns which prevented a complete and full opening. However, we were able to open the Welcome Center for special events for 2 weekends in November and two weekends in December before the prevalence of COVID-19 required closing again.
Now that restrictions are easing, watch the Chatham Chatlist, the Main Street Pittsboro website, and our social media accounts for announcements of a Grand Opening and other family-friendly community events.
