Four suspects in custody following Siler City area shooting 

Siler City, NC – The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office has charged four suspects in connection with a January shooting near Siler City that left two victims injured. 

Enrique Luis Dimas-Isley, 18; Jakoby Tejuan Walden-Eubanks, 18; and Everardo Madrid Balderas, 19 are charged in connection with a shooting near Siler City.

On January 20, deputies responded to an address off of Woody Lane, Siler City, in reference to a report of shots fired. Deputies learned that four suspects, including one juvenile, had fired shots into an occupied vehicle. Two of the vehicle occupants required medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting; a third person inside the vehicle was not struck or injured. 

Members of the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, Fayetteville Police Department, and United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force worked together to safely take all four suspects into custody. 

The three adult suspects in the case have been identified as Enrique Luis Dimas-Isley, 18, of 925 S. Sears Ave., Siler City; Everardo Madrid Balderas, 19, of 455 Ashley Court, Siler City; and Jakoby Tejuan Walden-Eubanks, 18, of 370 Old Plank Road, Siler City. Each of the four suspects is charged with two felony counts of attempted 1st degree murder; three felony counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property; one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury; two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill; one count of felony conspiracy; and one count of assault on a child under the age of 12. 

Dimas-Isley, Walden-Eubanks, and Balderas were assigned $500,000, $1,152,000, and $1,000,000 secured bonds, respectively. They are due to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on February 27, 2023.
