Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County middle school basketball tournament kicks off on Monday, February 13 and runs through Friday, February 17.
The first round girls’ games will take place on Monday. The boys’ first round games will take begin on Tuesday. The higher seeded teams will host the lower seeds at their home basketball courts for the first round games.
Monday, February 13 First Round Girls’ Games start at 5 pm
Game 1: #1 George Moses Horton Middle hosts #8 Silk Hope
Game 2: #4 Chatham Middle hosts #5 Bennett
Game 3: #2 Margaret Pollard hosts #7 J.S. Waters
Game 4: #3 Moncure hosts #6 Bonlee
Tuesday, February 14 First Round Boys’ Games start at 5 pm
Game 1: #1 Chatham Middle hosts #8 Bonlee
Game 2: #4 Bennett hosts #5 J.S. Waters
Game 3: #2 George Moses Horton Middle hosts #7 Silk Hope
Game 4: #3 Margaret Pollard Middle hosts #6 Moncure
The admission charge for first round games will be $4 for adults and school-age children. Children under four years of age will be admitted for free for all rounds of the tournament.
Semi-final middle school basketball games will be played at J.S. Waters School. The girls’ games will be played on Wednesday, February 15. The boys’ games will be played on Thursday, February 16.

5 pm – Girls’ game 1 winner vs game 2 winner
6:15 pm – Girls’ game 3 winner vs game 4 winner
Thursday, February 16 Boys Semi-Finals at J.S. Waters
5 pm – Boys’ game 1 winner vs game 2 winner
6:15 pm – Boys’ game 3 winner vs game 4 winner
The admission charge for the semi-final games will be $5 for adults and school-age children.
The middle school basketball tournament championship games will be played on Friday, February 17 at Chatham Central High School. The girls’ championship game is set to be played at 5 pm. The boys’ championship game is scheduled to begin at 6:15 pm.
