Chapel Hill, NC – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has released its finalized brackets for the 2022-2023 boys basketball state playoffs.
The Northwood Chargers have earned a number one seed in the eastern section of the NCHSAA 3A men’s basketball playoffs. They will face the #32 seed West Johnson. They will continue to host lower seeded teams through the first three rounds.
Here’s how the rest of the local Chatham County boys high school basketball teams fill in the tournament brackets.
#9 seed Seaforth will host #24 seed Granville Central in the 2A men’s basketball playoffs.
In the eastern 1A boys basketball playoffs, #3 seed Chatham Charter will host #30 East Wake Academy and #6 seed Chatham Central will host #27 Oxford Prep.
First round games in the basketball playoffs are scheduled for Tuesday at the higher seed. Second round games will be played Thursday, with third round games on Saturday.
Play will continue on February 28 with the fourth round, then regionals on March 4.
State championships will be played on March 11.
