Pittsboro, NC – Chatham County Sheriff’s Office Investigators executed search warrants Friday morning, September 8, 2023, at two Wake County locations as part of their ongoing investigation into the death of Hadeel Ghandhanfer Hikmat, age 34, of 736 Treviso Lane, Apex. Her body was discovered in the waters of Jordan Lake on August 29.
The searches on Friday took place at 736 Treviso Lane in Apex and 1916 Wescott Drive in Raleigh, both known to be frequented by Hikmat.

The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation to the Raleigh Police Department and Apex Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office also acknowledges the invaluable assistant of the Fayetteville Police Department for their assistance. Their dive teams have worked hand in hand with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, scouring the vicinity of Jordan Lake where Himat’s body was discovered.
“I want to thank the Raleigh and Apex Police Departments, as well as the Fayetteville Police Department, for their support and collaborative efforts in this ongoing investigation,” said Chatham County Sheriff Mike Roberson. “Together, we are dedicated to seeking answers and ensuring justice for Hadeel Hikmat and her family.”
