Northwood High’s new signage will feature digital display

Pittsboro, NC – At Monday’s Chatham County school board meeting, Mr. Chris Blice, the Assistant Superintendent for Operations will recommend construction of a new sign for Northwood high school.

Rendition of the proposed new Northwood High School signage

The Chatham Park Investors have agreed to construct a new sign for Northwood High School to be located on the corner of Northwood School Road and Highway 15-501.  The approved permit documents which show what this will look like are HERE.  The new sign will incorporate the brick planter from the existing NW sign, brick from the sign presently located at 369 West Street, and more up-to-date signage which will include a digital display.

A draft of a work easement document will be presented to school board to approve pending final review by the board attorney.

The cost of the construction project will be covered by the Chatham Park Investors.  Chatham County Schools will be responsible for the final planting and landscaping of the new sign and surrounding area.
