Siler City, NC – Tripp Crayton has been selected as the new principal of Chatham Charter School, effective June 1, 2024. He will work closely with the central services team in leading the school.
Mr. Crayton began his career in education as a high school social studies teacher in Durham Public Schools. He has served as an assistant principal and principal in middle and high schools, having worked in Durham and the Wake County Public School System before coming to Chatham County Schools in 2015. Mr. Crayton is well known in Chatham County as a former principal of Jordan-Matthews High School and the principal who opened Seaforth High School. He currently works in the central office of Chatham County Schools.

While I may bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role, achieving our shared goal of optimizing Chatham Charter School will require the effort and collaboration of our entire school community.
