Woods Charter & Jordan-Matthews make 2020-21 NCHSAA men’s soccer playoffs

Chapel Hill, NC – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) finalized and released the playoff brackets for the 2020-21 Men’s Soccer Championships. The tournament will have four classifications of play with five playoff rounds each. Each classification will field a full complement of 32 teams.

There are two Chatham County high school soccer teams that have made the NCHSAA playoffs. #12 seed Woods Charter School (5-3-0) will travel to face #5 seed Gray Stone Day (6-0-2) in the first round of the 1A West playoffs. #5 Jordan-Matthews (9-1-0) will host #12 Northeastern (8-2-1) in the first round of the 2A East playoffs.

The State Championship Matches will be contested on Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27 in Cary at Koka Booth Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park. The schedule will be announced at a later date. Tickets to the Championships are $10.00 and will be limited. Available tickets will be provided to the participating schools for distribution.

The 2020-21 NCHSAA Men’s Soccer Championships will be broadcast live via web stream on the NFHS Network. The NFHS Network is a subscription-based service.
