Retirement Planning Essentials (Seated, Pittsboro Main Campus, June 14, 6 p.m.)
Get Your Passport to Retirement (a.k.a. The Golden Vacation)!
This interactive course provides skills to prepare for a comfortable retirement and avoid financial shortfalls. Learn about life insurance, Medicare/Healthcare and long-term care options, essential legal documents, tips on tax deferred growth vehicles, and more. Personalize an investment plan to achieve your ideal retirement.
Social Media & Your Career (Online self-study, June 13)
Learn how your online presence impacts your employability and how you can make social media work for you. This virtual course focuses on social media etiquette and professionalism. Participants will learn about and discuss positive behaviors on various social media sites (i.e. Facebook & Instagram) and strategies to develop an effective LinkedIn account. A waiver for registration cost is available for those who qualify. Basic computer proficiency is required.
Electrical Wiring at Home (Seated, Pittsboro Main Campus, June 14, 8 a.m.)
Discover techniques to safely perform home electrical wiring including repairs, installations, and modifications. Students will learn about tools and material selection, and making electrical connections. This hands-on course is ideal for the homeowner/landlord wanting to do basic electrical repairs, installations, and modifications.
Kids Cooking Camp (Seated, Pittsboro Main Campus, June 13 8:30 a.m.) Very limited seating left!
A cooking class for Post K to 9 years old who share a passion for cooking. Students will prepare various items including healthy snacks, lunches, and desserts. Snacks are included in this camp. We will ask for any dietary restrictions/allergies on the first day of entry into the camp. Students must wear closed toed shoes, apron or smock.
