Investigators discovered that Beers pawned items reported stolen by victims in two separate cases, which led them to seek a search warrant for her residence. During the search, deputies found a trove of stolen goods including multiple pieces of jewelry, perfume, clothes, shoes, and bags related to other break-in cases. The investigation remains ongoing as information obtained so far suggests Beers could be connected to approximately thirty break-ins in all. It is also believed that Beers may have peddled some of the stolen items to unsuspecting buyers at local flea markets.

Beers is currently charged with seven counts of felony breaking and entering, seven counts of felony larceny, seven counts of felony possession of stolen goods/property, and four counts of injury to real property. She was assigned a $75,0000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on July 18, 2022.
