The Chatham Winter Weather Survival Drive is a collaborative community-wide project. It began last year as a partnership between Chapel In The Pines Presbyterian Church, Salvation Army of Chatham and Chatham Homeless Advocacy Issue Network, CHAIN. In the inaugural year with one North Chatham collection location and six weeks of Wednesday mornings the WWSD 2022 collected 1500 donated items including almost 500 winter coats. The donated winterwear items were distributed at the National Guard Armory in conjuction with the Salvation Army of Chatham’s annual Angel Tree Event and to  Love Chatham, West Chatham Pantry and at Chatham Health Alliance Resource Hub Event at the Nature Trail Mobile Home Community.

This years Chatham WWSD 2023 Partners:
Chapel In The Pines Presbyterian Church,  Salvation Army of Chatham, 79 West Innovation Hub at Mosaic Chatham Park, St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church, Pittsboro Methodist Church, Wrenn Memorial Library, Goldston Library, The Local Church, Chatham Housing Collective, Chatham Homeless Advocacy Issue Network and Encore of Briar Chapel. We are grateful to our sponsors 79 West Innovation Hub, Mosaic at Chatham Park and Lowe’s Home Improvement for their generosity and support.
