Siler City, NC – While investigating a report that a Siler City man was in possession of child pornography, Chatham County Sheriff’s Office investigators conducted a search warrant of the suspect’s residence, uncovering numerous pornographic images and videos of minors.
Authorities charged Andrew Phillip Gerbing, 38, of 178 Bailey Way, Siler City with one count of felony third degree sex exploitation of a minor, one count of felony soliciting child by computer, one count of felony disseminating obscenity, and one count of misdemeanor disseminating material harmful to a minor.
The case remains under investigation.
Gerbing was issued a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court on March 18.
