This inaugural event will feature a keynote presentation by Mayor Kyle Shipp, who will highlight the Town’s major accomplishments from the past year and unveil plans for continued progress in the months ahead. The presentation will center on PBO: People, Business, and the Organization – the three pillars that guide Pittsboro’s efforts to serve its community.

“The ‘State of the Town’ event is an opportunity for us to reflect on how far we’ve come as a town and lay out our vision for the future,” said Mayor Shipp. “Our focus on People, Business, and the Organization represents our commitment to the residents of Pittsboro, the strength and growth of our local businesses, and the evolution of the Town government itself to meet the needs of our thriving community.”

The PBO theme underscores the Town’s initiatives in three key areas:

People: The efforts made to enhance the quality of life for all Pittsboro residents, from public services to community programs.

Business: Ongoing support and investment in local businesses to drive economic development and sustainability.

Organization: Strengthening the Town’s organizational capacity to deliver better services, improve infrastructure, and ensure long-term growth.

This event will offer an engaging overview of Pittsboro’s recent achievements and the steps being taken to address challenges and seize new opportunities. Attendees will gain insight into how the Town is aligning its resources and planning strategically to create a prosperous future for all.
