Pittsboro, NC – Due to the winter weather and poor road conditions on many roads in Chatham and
surrounding counties, all regular Chatham County offices will be closed all day today, January 22, 2025.
County offices will reopen Thursday, January 23rd at 10 a.m.
While the Solid Waste & Recycling Main Office will open at 10 a.m. Thursday, all 12 Collection Centers will
open at noon. This will give staff time to make sure the centers are as safe as possible. Once open,
residents should avoid icy areas that are marked off by cones or tape.
The County will notify staff and the public if there are additional adjustments to operations. Updates will
be posted to the Chatham County website www.chathamcountync.gov and social media channels – Facebook and X.
