Owned by local entrepreneurs Katie and Nick Luck, the shop aims to provide a unique coffee experience with an array of flavors, energy drinks, and a commitment to community engagement. The Genesis of Mystic Mocha Coffee Shop
The idea for the shop came to Katie Gallon and her husband Nick during a casual conversation, and what started as a playful notion quickly turned into a business plan. “It just kind of popped in our head, and we decided that it’s the path we needed to go down,” Katie explained during the coffee shop’s grand opening.
The couple recognized that while there was already one coffee shop in town, the community could benefit from another option that offered a different perspective on flavors and experiences. “Everybody wants coffee, so why not bring them what they want?” Katie added, highlighting her motivation to serve the community and cater to diverse tastes.
A Flavorful Menu to Delight Coffee Enthusiasts
One of the standout features of Mystic Mocha is its extensive menu, which boasts over 40 different flavors. From classic coffee options to innovative concoctions, there is something for everyone. The shop’s signature drink, the Mystic Mocha latte, combines white chocolate and raw honey, creating a beverage that Katie hopes will become a local favorite.

Katie designed the shop’s logo herself, collaborating with her brother to bring her vision to life. “Mystic Mocha is catchy,” and she wanted something that would resonate with people.

The grand opening on May 10 was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Katie and Nick started welcoming their first customers around 8 a.m. Folks gathered around the couple outside the coffee shop to get a group photo. As the couple embarks on this journey, they are committed to creating a welcoming environment where customers can gather, connect, and enjoy high-quality beverages.
Hours of Operation and Future Plans
Mystic Mocha Coffee Shop will be open Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 2 PM and Saturdays from 8 AM to 12 PM. This schedule allows for early morning coffee runs for commuters and leisurely weekend visits for families and friends. As the shop settles into its routine, Katie and Nick are already considering future events and promotions to engage the community further.
With plans to host local artists and musicians, as well as special themed events, Mystic Mocha aims to become a lively center for creativity and connection in Siler City.
