Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office responded Thursday to the residence of Andre Landon Hill, 55, and his wife, Shannon Lee Bailey-Hill, 52, at 400 Forest Creek Drive, Pittsboro after a person claiming to be Andre Hill placed a call to the 911 Center in Chatham County stating that he had killed his wife.
Deputies arrived at the residence and located Shannon Bailey-Hill deceased. Based on information gathered, deputies had reason to believe Andre Hill was physically in Kentucky and immediately contacted authorities in Florence, Kentucky.
Later that morning, officials in Florence located the body of Andre Hill. Preliminary evidence indicates the deaths may be connected, and the circumstances appear consistent with a murder-suicide, though the investigation remains active.
Investigators have contacted family members are continuing to work with the Florence Police Department to review all available evidence and confirm the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
