Seaforth High School celebrates back-to-back Wells Fargo Cup wins

Pittsboro, NC – Chatham County Schools (CCS) proudly celebrated Seaforth High School’s recognition as the Wells Fargo 2A State Cup Champion for the second consecutive year, an honor that crowned Seaforth as the most outstanding overall athletic program in North Carolina’s 2A classification.

The award, presented by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) and Wells Fargo, was based on a points system that rewarded Seaforth High School for top finishes in state championship events across all sports. With 547.8 points, Seaforth not only secured the 2A title but also finished as the second-highest scoring program in the entire state, behind only 4A champion Cardinal Gibbons (637.5 points).

The official banner and trophy presentation took place at halftime during Seaforth High School’s first home football game on Friday, August 29, 2025. SEA alumna and North Carolina sports legend, Juli Kidd, returned to present the award on behalf of the NCHSAA.
