Three Chatham County teams advance to 2nd round of state soccer playoffs

Pittsboro, NC – Here’s a rundown of how the five Chatham County high school girls’ soccer teams fared in the first round of playoff games on Monday evening. The Woods Charter, Seaforth and Northwood teams will play in the second round on Thursday.

#1 Woods Charter got a first round bye on Monday.
#1 Woods Charter Wolves (12-6) will host either #16 Southside or #17 Triangle Math and Science in Pittsboro.

#26 Chatham Charter lost to #7 Bear Grass Charter, 7-1

#7 Seaforth shut out #26 Midway, 9-0
#7 Seaforth Hawks (16-5-1) will host #10 Heide Trask Titans (17-3-1) in Pittsboro
#10 Heide Trask defeated #23 Beddingfield, 3-2

#18 Jordan-Matthews lost to #15 Nash Central , 8-1

In 3A competition

#17 Northwood defeated #16 Northern Nash, 8-2
#17 Northwood Chargers (11-8-3) will visit #1 Eastern Alamance Eagles (15-0-1) in Mebane
#1 Eastern Alamance beat #32 Croatan, 7-0
