Missing Chatham man found in Virginia

Pittsboro, NC – Douglas Whipple, reported missing on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at approximately 9:07 EDT has been located in Patrick County, Virginia, and is in good condition. The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert seeking help in locating him.

Whipple, was reported missing by his wife after he left home driving a 2012 Toyota Prius with license plate FCR8374. Whipple, who has dementia and is hearing impaired, was last known to be driving to McDonald’s in North Chatham Village.
