Pittsboro, NC – The third round of the state basketball playoffs was played on Tuesday evening. Four Chatham County high school basketball teams played in the third round. Here are the results from Tuesday night’s basketball game. We are also including information as to whom the winners will be playing and where those fourth round games will take place.
3rd Round 2A State basketball playoff results
#4 Northwood boys (27-3) defeated #21 Southeast Alamance boys (18-12) at home, 75-52.
#4 Northwood boys (25-3) will play at away at #1 Farmville Central (28-1) on Friday. The winner of this game will play next Wednesday at the Lawrence Joel Memorial Coliseum against the winner of the #2 Goldsboro (26-3) vs #14 Fairmont (22-5) game.
#3 Seaforth girls (27-3) defeated #11 Northwood girls (24-6) at home, 54-36.
#3 Seaforth girls (27-3) will play against #15 St. Paul’s girls (20-5) at home on Friday. The winner of this game will play next Wednesday at the Lawrence Joel Memorial Coliseum against the winner of the #1 North Pitt girls (26-3) vs #12 West Craven girls (23-3) game.

#9 Chatham Central girls (19-10) lost to #1 Falls Lake girls (30-2) in Creedmoor, NC on Tuesday, 54-47.
