Pittsboro, NC – More than 200 Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC) athletes and Unified partners will participate in the 2024 SONC Cheerleading Tournament on Saturday, March 23, at Seaforth High School in Pittsboro, North Carolina. Unified competition allows individuals with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics athletes, and individuals without intellectual disabilities, Unified partners, to train and compete together.
SONC athletes will be competing from the following programs: Buncombe, Cabarrus, Clay, Cleveland, Davie, Durham, Forsyth, Gaston, Harnett, Iredell, Mecklenburg, New Hanover, Orange, Pitt, Stokes, Union and Wilkes.
