Chapel Hill, NC – The N.C. High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) has released the standings for the Wells Fargo State Cup following the winter sports season.

Seaforth High School leads in the 2A classification with 347.5 points.

The Wells Fargo State Cup recognizes the best overall high school athletic programs in North Carolina.
Each season, schools earn points in the Wells Fargo Cup standings based on their performance in the NCHSAA state playoffs. All schools that finish in top eight positions, including ties, earn points.
Teams are awarded 50 points for a first-place finish, 45 points for a second-place finish, 40 points for a third-place finish, etc. Schools also receive five points for every sanctioned sport in which the school qualifies for the state playoffs.
Mount Airy (1A), Croatan (3A), and Marvin Ridge (4A) lead the standings in their respective classifications.
