Early voting begins in Chatham County for the 2024 general election

Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Board of Elections Office informs residents that they can cast their ballots for the 2024 General Election beginning October 17 through November 2.

Individuals who missed the voter registration deadline of October 11th may register to vote at an early voting site and cast their ballot on the same day if they have lived in Chatham County for 30 days or more before November 5, 2024.

These are the dates and times that individuals may vote early:

October 17 – November 2, 2024

Monday – Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Saturdays – 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Sundays – Noon – 3:00 p.m.

Voters will be asked to show photo ID when voting in North Carolina. Voters may show their driver’s license. Other acceptable photo IDs include U.S. Passport, military or veterans ID, and college or university student ID. If a voter does not have an acceptable photo ID, they can get one at no cost from the Chatham County Board of Elections Office through November 2, 2024, by 3:00 p.m., or the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV). Individuals can learn more at Get a Free Voter Photo ID on the State Board of Elections website.
