Pittsboro, NC – Chatham County residents are invited to attend a Community Conversation on Affordable Housing, a public event co-hosted by CORE (Community Organizing for Racial Equity) and the Chatham County Housing Office.
What: Community Conversation on Affordable Housing
When: Thursday, June 12, 2025 | 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Where: Chatham Community Library, Holmes Family Meeting Room 197 NC Hwy 87 N, Pittsboro, NC 27312
This forum will bring together local leaders, housing advocates, and residents to explore the power dynamics and challenges shaping housing access in Chatham County.
The conversation aims to clarify complex housing systems, uplift community voices, and identify paths toward more inclusive and equitable solutions.
“This event provides a valuable opportunity for community members to share their experiences and engage in dialogue with their neighbors, housing policy experts, and local partners,” said Jamie Andrews, Chatham County Housing Officer. “Policy decisions must be shaped by the communities impacted, and we look forward to cultivating spaces that empower community leadership and explore collaborative approaches to meeting housing needs in Chatham.”
