Pittsboro, NC – The 2026 Piedmont Farm Tour will open the gates of 30 small-scale farms across five counties April 25-26, inviting visitors to meet farmers, explore working farms, and taste locally-grown food. During the self-guided tour, visitors can interact with animals, explore farm fields, sip craft beverages, and sample delicious bites. The annual tour is the largest sustainable farm tour in the United States, drawing over 2,000 visitors each year.

“This weekend connects people directly with the farmers who nourish their communities,” notes Mary Beth Miller, Education Manager at the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association. “When visitors step onto these farms, they witness the care and stewardship behind local food, flowers, and fibers. The Piedmont Farm Tour highlights why our region leads in sustainable agriculture and why supporting local farms is so important.”
