Pittsboro, NC – If any of you are thinking of homeschooling your child(ren) next year, I highly recommend Sonlight’s curriculum. I started my kids with it in the fall of 2020 and just love it!
It’s a Christian literature-based curriculum and it has a schedule all laid out for you. This was my concern as a first-time homeschooler. I didn’t know what I wanted to do; how I would do it. But I knew I wanted a pre-made schedule, books – not zoom or videos, and a Christian company. And after much research I picked Sonlight.
The first year I taught 3rd grade. This school year I’m doing 4th grade and kindergarten and we all love it! And to my shock at first, we’re usually done by lunchtime. It’s great. More time to play. More time to get together with other families or go somewhere. It’s flexible for doctor’s appointments. Plus no masks, no following the taped line to go to your class room etc. I really didn’t think I’d ever do it, but that was the hidden blessing for our family when Covid hit, I started homeschooling.
