Chapel Hill, NC – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) released the final playoff brackets for the 2022 Baseball State Playoffs. Each field features 64 teams in each of the Association’s four classifications. Play is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the site of the higher seed.
Here is the rundown of Chatham County high school teams in the state baseball playoffs:
#9 Jordan-Matthews (7-16) will be at home against #24 SouthWest Edgecombe (10-12). #14 Chatham Charter (13-4) will host #19 KIPP Pride. #19 Northwood (17-10) will travel to compete against #14 Currituck County (16-8). #21 Chatham Central (11-10) will play away at #12 Northwest Halifax (9-4).
The tournament is a single elimination format until the Regional Finals, which will be a best-of-three series. The State Championships are scheduled for July 3 & 4th and they are also best-of-three series.
