Pittsboro, NC – The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) of the Chatham Community Library is excited to announce its first-ever Teen Writing Contest. Local teens ages 12-18 are invited to submit a work of fiction, non-fiction, or poetry (max 3000 words) in response to one of the TAB-crafted writing prompts.
Submissions will be accepted from November 18 – December 18, 2022. Participants should email their submission to Kathleen Pierce, Youth Services Library Assistant and TAB advisor. TAB members will judge the submissions. First, second, and third place winners will be awarded gift cards to McIntyre’s Books in Pittsboro.
Prizes for the Teen Writing Contest are sponsored by the Friends of the Chatham Community Library.
