Primary election early voting sites, dates & times for Chatham County residents

Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Board of Elections Office informs residents that they can cast their ballots for the 2024 primary election from February 15 through March 2.

Individuals who missed the voter registration deadline of February 9 may register at an early voting site on the day they vote. There will be no voter registration during the primary election, March 5.

Residents may vote early at these sites in Chatham County:

Tuesday, February 20: 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, February 21: 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, February 22: 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Friday, February 23: 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, February 24: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Sunday, February 25: Noon – 3:00 p.m.

Monday, February 26: 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, February 27: 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Voters will be asked to show photo ID when voting in North Carolina. Voters may show their driver’s license. Other acceptable photo IDs include U.S. Passport, military or veterans ID, and college or university student ID. If a voter does not have an acceptable photo ID, they can get one at no cost from the Chatham County Board of Elections Office or the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV).
