Pittsboro Town Hall closed for week due to COVID-19 related staffing shortages

Pittsboro, NC – The Pittsboro Town Hall (located at 635 East Street in Pittsboro) will be closed to the public until at least Monday, August 15, 2022 due to staffing shortages and health concerns related to COVID-19. This closure impacts both walk-in and drive-through services. Should you need to speak with someone at Town Hall, please call the front desk at 919-542-4621, enter extension 1100, and leave a voicemail if you do not get an answer.

If you wish to pay your water bill online, you can access the payment portal by clicking HERE. You can also use any other method to pay utility bills such as pay-by-phone and using the dropbox in the drive-through. Information on these methods can be found by visiting the Town website.

The Police Department is also closed to visitors and walk-in services. Should you need to speak to a police officer, please contact the Police Department at 919-542-3200 during regular hours or Chatham County Emergency Communications using the non-emergency number (919-542-2911) during non-business hours and explain that you need to speak to a Pittsboro Police Officer.

We sincerely hope that we will be able to reopen Town Hall on Monday, August 15, 2022. If reopening will be delayed, we will convey this through an additional news release. We thank you for your patience as we work through these challenges and look forward to resuming our normal levels of service soon.
