Chatham Sheriff’s Office responds to report of body found at Jordan Lake

Pittsboro, NC – At approximately 7 p.m. Friday evening, deputies with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Jordan Lake near the NC 751 bridge following a report that a body had been located in the water.

The incident remains under investigation. There is no known threat to the public.

No additional information is available at this time pending notification processes and further investigation.
