Northwood boys and Seaforth girls playing in 2025 NCHSAA basketball regional finals

Pittsboro, NC – In last Friday’s fourth round, 16 boys and girls teams won and are moving on to the NCHSAA basketball championship week. Two local teams have made it to the regional finals. The Northwood boys and the Seaforth will play in the 2A east regional championships on Thursday at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem.

Thursday, March 13: 2A boys & girls regional championships

  • 2:00 PM — 2A East Girls: (12) Southeast Alamance vs. (2) Seaforth
  • 4:00 PM — 2A East Boys: (4) West Bladen vs. (3) Northwood
  • 6:00 PM — 2A West Girls: (2) East Burke vs. (1) North Wilkes
  • 8:00 PM — 2A West Boys: (15) Bandys vs. (1) Reidsville

The four regional championship games will begin at 2 p.m. each day. The next games will begin approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the previous game. Approximate game times are 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m.

The state championship games will be played on Friday and Saturday. The start times for the games will be determined after the teams are finalized. Here is the state championship schedule:

  • Friday, March 14: 1A & 3A boys & girls state championships
  • Saturday, March 15: 2A & 4A boys & girls state championships
