Pittsboro, NC – An arrest has been made in the Blue Jade Spa investigation. On April 16, 2026, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Chao Li, 37 years old, of Garner, North Carolina, for charges taken out by the Pittsboro Police Department. During the investigation, Li was identified as one of the owners of the Blue Jade Spa.
Li was arrested on the following charges:
- Promote Prostitution – Advanced (Felony)
- Aid and Abet Prostitution (Misdemeanor)
- Unlicensed Practice of Massage/Body Work (Misdemeanor)
- Advertising without a License (Misdemeanor)
Li posted a $3,000 bond on the misdemeanor charges. He is being held on the felony charge and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County Court on April 22, 2026.
This case remains under active investigation by the police department. No additional information is being released at this time.
