Body recovered from Jordan Lake Tuesday afternoon

Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office recovered a body from Jordan Lake near Farrington Point Boat Ramp, 605 Farrington Point Road, on Tuesday afternoon, August 29, 2023.

The body was recovered from the lake after a tip was called in around 2:30 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Office is in the preliminary stages of an investigation currently. Anyone who has observed suspicious activity in the area of Farrington Road or Jordan Lake is asked to call the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office at 919-542-2911.
