Chatham Historical Museum schedules volunteer orientation for February 17

By Wanda Pender

Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham Historical Museum thanks you all for a successful 2023. Our great team of museum volunteers serve in various capacities: museum docents, school field trip leaders, tour guides, re-enactors, historical presenters, and more- AND the museum would like to expand open hours to include Saturdays so more people can learn about local history. Can you help?

We invite you to sign up for an introductory volunteer orientation to be held at the historical museum Saturday, February 17 at 1 pm. Whether you are passionate about history, eager to support community initiatives, or looking for a fulfilling way to become involved, this is the perfect starting point. This orientation is an opportunity to meet our team and explore ways you can actively contribute as a volunteer.

Think you don’t know enough Chatham history to volunteer- we’ve got you covered! Nobody is expected to know it all and you’ll be amazed at how quickly you soak up the interesting tidbits of history that make this work so much fun.

To secure your spot, please sign up by February 10 at Chatham County Historical Association – Museum Volunteer Orientation (chathamhistory.org)

If you have any questions or need further information, you may reach out to us at museum@chathamhistory.org. We look forward to seeing you.
