Raleigh, NC – The No. 9/9 NC State women’s basketball team will play in its 30th NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament, being picked as a No. 2 seed in the Spokane Regional 1. As a top 16 overall seed, NC State will host the first two rounds in Raleigh.

The Pack opens 2025 tournament play on Saturday, as NC State takes on 15-seeded Vermont. Saturday’s winner will play the winner of 7-seeded Michigan State and 10-seeded Harvard.
The winner in the second-round matchup will punch a ticket to Spokane for regional play from March 28-31. The Final Four will take place in Tampa, Florida from April 4-6.

All-session books for the first and second rounds are available to Wolfpack Club members and season ticket holders at 10:30 p.m Sunday. Those fans can secure tickets on their GoPack.com accounts or by contacting the ticket office.
Single-session tickets will become available to Wolfpack Club members and season ticket holders on Sunday night. All-session books and single-season tickets will be on sale to the general public on Monday, March 17 at 11 a.m.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY:
The Pack has now been selected for eight straight NCAA Tournaments, 30 overall. The Pack’s eight straight tournament appearances, all under Wes Moore, is now the longest streak in program history.
This year marks the fifth time in the Moore era the Pack will host the opening round games of the NCAA Tournament. The Pack has played 21 of its NCAA Tournament games in Raleigh and is 19-2 in those contests, not losing such a game since 1983. The Pack is 12-8 in first round games, 16-5 in second round games, 3-13 in Sweet 16 games, 2-1 in Elite Eight contests and 0-2 in Final Fours.
