Carolina to host 2025 NCAA Baseball Regional

Chapel Hill, NC – On Sunday evening the University of North Carolina was announced as one of the 16 regional hosts for the 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Championships, the 14th time the Tar Heels have hosted an NCAA Baseball Regional. The Chapel Hill Regional will take place Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1 with a possible final game on Monday, June 2. 

There will be a limited inventory of standing room only tickets available for purchase prior to each respective game day of the 2025 Chapel Hill Baseball Regional. Tickets can be purchased from the Boshamer Stadium ticket office 90 minutes prior to each game.

Student Ticket Information
The first 100 UNC students at each UNC game will receive a free ticket. Pending remaining ticket inventory, students after the first 100 will need to pay the student ticket price of $5. Students can pick up tickets from the Boshamer Ticket Office starting 90 minutes prior to each UNC game.

Parking will be available for the entire Chapel Hill Regional in the Rams Head Deck for $20 as well as the Craige Deck (levels 5-9 only). Craige Deck parking will be $10 on Friday and free on Saturday and Sunday. Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday through Sunday, parking will also be available for free in the Bowles Lot, Raleigh Road Visitors Lot, and on Stadium Drive. Disability parking will be in the Rams Head Deck for $20. Ride Share drop-off and pickup will be in the Law School Circle Lot. The three other participating teams in the Chapel Hill Regional will be announced Monday, May 26 during the NCAA Tournament Selection Show, 12 p.m. ET on ESPN2. 

The Tar Heels go into NCAA Tournament play with a 42-12 overall record. North Carolina’s journey back to the College World Series for the second consecutive season begins on Friday.

North Carolina, the 2025 ACC Baseball Champions, will host a regional for the 14th time in program history. The Tar Heels will look to advance to their second consecutive Men’s College World Series, with the path beginning at Boshamer Stadium. Throughout 2025, the Tar Heels have posted a 25-6 record at home.

By being awarded a regional, all 16 host institutions have also been selected for the 64-team championship field.

Each regional field features four teams playing in a double-elimination format. All 16 regionals are scheduled to be conducted from Friday, May 30, to Monday, June 2 (if necessary).

Florida State is hosting a baseball regional at Dick Howser Stadium for the 37th time in tournament history, the most of any school. In 2024, the Seminoles made an appearance in the Men’s College World Series and will enter the 2025 NCAA Tournament as a top-10 team.

Clemson will once again be a regional host after doing so in both 2023 and 2024. The Tigers will host a regional for the 19th time since 1980 and will make their 47th NCAA Tournament appearance, the fifth most in NCAA history. On Sunday, the Tigers fell in the 2025 ACC Baseball Championship game.

The full 64-team field, top-16 national seeds, first-round regional pairings and site assignments will be announced at Noon (ET), on Monday, May 26. The one-hour program will be shown live on ESPN2. The committee will set the entire 64-team bracket through both the super regionals and the first round of the Men’s College World Series and will not reseed the field after play begins.
