Ask a Master Gardener
Wednesday, June 4th, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Embark on a green-thumb journey with our “Ask a Master Gardener” program! Bring all your gardening queries and curiosities to the experts, who will provide invaluable insights and tips to nurture your plants and gardens. This class is presented by Chatham County Master Gardener volunteers from the NC Cooperative Extension.
Hurricane Preparedness
Friday, June 6th, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
June begins the NC Hurricane Season. Join us to discover how to safeguard yourself during hurricanes. Equip yourself with the necessary information and tools to ensure your safety and the well-being of your family in the face of impending hurricanes. This class is taught by the Chatham County Emergency Management department.
Summer Reading Kickoff at Northwest District Park
Monday, June 9th, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Join us at our Summer Reading Kickoff! Enjoy games and crafts with Chatham County Parks & Rec. Be creative with Kathi’s Klowns balloon animals and face painting. And more! This event will be held outside from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Northwest District Park: 2413 Woody Store Road, Siler City, NC 27344.
Colorful Creatures with the North Carolina Zoo
Wednesday, June 18th, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Come meet some of the North Carolina Zoo’s live animal ambassadors and learn about their characteristics, adaptations, and the roles they play in our environment. This program is geared towards families with kids of all ages.
Paint Social
Friday, June 20th, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Recurring every third Friday of the month
Join us for a fun and relaxing paint social! All participants will be guided through the steps of painting their own seasonal landscape. Supplies are provided and participants may take their painting home with them at the end of the event.
Flower Pounding
Wednesday, June 25th, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Join us for a blooming adventure! Let your little ones explore the art of creating colorful botanical prints using fresh flowers and gentle hammering techniques. Spark their creativity and appreciation for nature in this hands-on and vibrant activity. This program is presented by Chatham County Master Gardener volunteers from the NC Cooperative Extension.
