Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Chamber of Commerce marked a significant milestone on Wednesday with a ribbon cutting ceremony at their new location at 79 Degrees West. The event drew a crowd of local business owners, government officials, and community members, all eager to celebrate the Chamber’s commitment to fostering collaboration and support for small businesses in the county.

In her opening remarks, the chamber’s president Rebecca Dickenson expressed gratitude for the overwhelming turnout, highlighting the spirit of community and collaboration that the new space embodies. “We are thrilled to put down the new Chatham Chamber roots here at 79 West,” said one of the Chamber leaders. “There’s so much to offer in this building, and we are excited to work together as a team to support our members.”
A New Space for Growth
The new location is designed to be a hub for community interaction, offering various amenities and meeting spaces for members. The Chamber’s leaders emphasized that this facility will enhance their ability to provide valuable resources and support to local businesses. “As Chamber members, you have access to a lot of the rooms and other amenities,” Rebecca noted, inviting attendees to explore the possibilities the new space offers.
The ribbon cutting ceremony also served as a platform for local officials and representatives to express their support. Among the attendees were Chatham County Commissioner Howard, Mayor Kyle, and a representative from Congresswoman Valerie Foushee’s office.

The Chamber took a moment to recognize the contributions of key individuals and organizations that have stepped forward to support its mission. “We have two Chatham champions and several visionary partners in the room,” Rebecca announced, highlighting the support from local businesses like InTrust, Bold, Sunrock and Fidelity Bank.
