Moncure, NC – Due to construction work at the Moncure Collection Center, the Swap Shop and oil shed are closed for the next couple of weeks. Contractors are tearing out and building new ramps for each building, so the buildings cannot be accessed safely during this time. All other areas of the Collection Center as accessible.
Residents should take Swap Shop and oil shed items (motor oil, filters, other fuels, and lead acid batteries) to other facilities during this time. The Collection Center addresses can be found online at chathamcountync.gov/collectioncenters
The driveway is also being repaired, so there will be only one lane available to enter and exit sometimes. Please pay attention to new traffic patterns.
Note: The Swap Shops at the Crutchfield Crossroads and Siler City Collection Centers have reopened. They were closed last week due to trees falling on them during the tropical storm.
