He also mentioned the possibility of creating a town social district, which would allow residents to purchase alcohol at one venue and carry it to another, a feature already enjoyed in nearby towns like Pittsboro.

A significant concern for some is the lack of childcare facilities in Goldston. Mayor Jonathan acknowledged this issue, stating that many families currently rely on services in nearby towns. He noted that as the population grows, particularly with new subdivisions being developed, there will be an increasing need for childcare options. “Once we get that population up, we will definitely need those services,” he said.
