Pittsboro, NC – Chatham County Veteran Services, in partnership with Chatham Community Library and the Centers for Active Living, is proud to announce a new event series: Veteran’s Coffee Break. These informal gatherings aim to support local veterans by connecting them with valuable resources, sharing upcoming programs, and encouraging them to explore the benefits available to them. These events are free and open to all veterans residing in Chatham County. No registration is required.

This initiative was inspired by Chatham County’s ongoing commitment to serving those who served. The goal is simple: provide a welcoming space where veterans can enjoy light refreshments, connect with one another, and learn more about free assistance available when applying for disability compensation and other benefits.
“Currently, approximately 4,500 veterans access VA benefits in Chatham County, and many aren’t aware of the support that’s available to them—at no cost,” said Stephanie Briggs, Chatham County Veteran Services Officer. “Veterans Coffee Break is a way to change that in a relaxed, community-driven setting.”
