Pittsboro seeks volunteers to serve as members of the Board of Adjustment

Pittsboro, NC – The Town of Pittsboro is seeking engaged, community-oriented residents to serve as In-Town and Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) members of the Pittsboro Board of Adjustment (BOA). Appointments are made by the Pittsboro Board of Commissioners.

Board members are selected based on their interest in public service, sound judgment, relevant knowledge, ability, and strong ethical character. The Board of Adjustment serves in a quasi-judicial role, meeting on an as-needed basis to conduct hearings and render final decisions on Special Use Permits, Variances, and Appeals. All actions of the Board must comply with North Carolina General Statutes.
