Chatham County Government offices to delay opening on January 27

Pittsboro, NC – Due to lingering icy conditions from the winter storm in Chatham and surrounding counties, Chatham County Government offices will delay opening until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

County’s State of Emergency is anticipated to be lifted on the morning of January 27.

Any further updates will be provided on the Chatham County information phone line at 919-545-8444 and posted to the Chatham County website and social media channels – Facebook, X and Nextdoor. Residents are also encouraged to stay informed about the storm by monitoring www.readync.gov.
