Pittsboro, NC – Eight of the Chatham County high school basketball teams played in the second round of the state high school playoff. Five teams were victorious and will play in the 3rd round of the state playoffs on Saturday.
The Northwood boys, Seaforth girls, Chatham Central girls, Chatham Charter boys and girls won their second-round playoff games on Thursday and will play in the third-round games on Saturday.

Northwood High School, Pittsboro, NC
#1 Northwood boys (24-2) defeated #16 Westover (21-9) on Thursday, 60-44.
#1 Northwood will host #25 Terry Sanford (14-10) on Saturday at 7 pm.
#25 Terry Sanford (14-10) defeated #9 South Central (16-11) on Thursday, 55-53.
#1 Northwood boys (23-2) defeated #32 West Johnston (14-10) on Tuesday, 76-23.

#5 Northwood girls (23-5) lost to #12 Western Alamance (21-8) on Thursday, 59-53.
